Supported by Pol Roger, British yachtsman Geoff Holt became the first quadriplegic to sail across the Atlantic when he crossed the finish line in the Caribbean on Thursday January 7th 2010. Thursday 17th September saw HRH The Princess Anne launch Geoff Holt and "Impossible Dream" on their bold attempt to sail the Atlantic. Geoff, in a wheel-chair after breaking his neck in a diving accident, and without the use of arms and legs, attempted to cross unaided, though accompanied by a carer and a film cameraman to record the crossing. "Impossible Dream" was built specifically for a wheel-chair bound skipper and further adapted for Geoff's needs. Princess Anne is pictured on the cataraman with Geoff, Fiona Pankhurst of Raymarine who provided the electronics and Charles Hamer, Marketing Director of Champagne Pol Roger who are supporting Geoff.
