Extreme Sailing Series TM Act 1
The Extreme Sailing Serie 2011 will be launched at the Wave in Muscat, Oman, on February 20th.
It is the first event (out of 9) of this international sailing competition held during 11 months, over 5 continents. It will be one of the main highlights at the Muscat Festival that celebrates Oman's traditional arts, culture and heritage. The first race on Sunday February 20th will see the open-water racing, ahead of the stadium format in front of the public from the 22nd to the 24th.
Eleven international high level teams will be in competition (six new teams + the five existing ones from last year).
This event is organised in partnership with the hosting towns and local sponsors, and also important sponsors such as:
- OMEGA, official timekeeper
- MARINEPOOL, official clothing supplier
- POL ROGER, official Champagne supplier
